Procedure at distribution of one-way drinks packaging in Germany - Registration at the DPG-System
- Apply unique international article
numbers based on a unique global company code, referred to as "GLN"
(Global Location Number) (formerly “ILN”). The GLN are
allocated by the national GTIN organization, GS1-Germany in
Cologne. The GTIN generated through the GLN proprietor are
generally 8- or 13-digit. Details regarding the registration can be
found on the internet at http://www.gs1-germany.de.
- The legal requirements - marking
drinks in one-way drinks packaging - will meet by printing of the
DPG Marking and the GTIN on one-way drinks packagings
- directly on the packaging at the production process or
- on the labels or
- on so called "DPG Stickers"
